For those that drive with a light foot on the accelerator, you have nothing to worry about. I'm thinking that the only way your accelerator could get stuck underneath your floor mat is if you accelerated with the pedal to the floor)
As I mention in a different post, they should capitolize on the sensation one feels the first time your brakes drop out on a 2010 Prius and bring back the "Oh, What a Feeling!" slogan - all they need to do is replay the old commercials and CGI in the new cars!
