Last week sometime I had to park under a tree (only parking spot left in the whole lot) and have been noticing little sap spots all over the car since. Grrrrr!!!!! The generous pollen coating was bad enough but sap??? The car gets washed weekly with Blue Coral Wash and Wax and has been Turtle-waxed as well (2 weeks ago), yet little drops of sap are still hanging on tightly, clinging to my otherwise pretty car. Needless to say I'm REALLY irritated (for lack of a polite way to say what's really on my mind) and was wondering if any of you had tips for removing the nasty stuff. I looked at the Toyoguard sealant cleaner, which may have some promise to it, but I bet we'd have to re-apply the wax. If anyone has other helpful ideas I would appreciate it greatly!
You can get tree sap/bug remover at your local auto parts store. I have a Seaside Pearl, and found the stuff works pretty well without marking up the paint. Are you talking about tree sap dots that look like they were spray painted? That stuff will come off with a good soaking. Can't remember the brand name, but they are probably all forumulated about the same. B
