I work at Turner which is about 21 miles one way. Both ways, in moderate-to-heavy traffic, I'm getting 52mpg. There are very few hills either way... So one tank of gas could get me to work 2 weeks without having to fuel up. Of course, that's if I didn't go anywhere during the weekend.
I take a trip 8.5 miles to work, done it in 18 mins @ 67.2 MPG, 21 mins @ 70 MPG and 23 mins @ 71.9 MPG. The thing is this is in the morning, no A/C needed. Since I live in Balls Hot Florida, in the afternoon the A/C is working hard and the same drive I've seen 47-56 MPG. I little more traffic on the afternoon drive than the morning but still. This is driving both conservatively and with traffic. Overall approx 60 MPG for my work commute. I agree, awesome.
