I ordered a black bumper guard for our Prius v from this site recently. It arrived, but the box had been apparently bent in half during shipping. So there is a crease in the guard and a "widows peak" point on the front edge. I will not be installing this damaged product on our car, of course. I've sent 2 emails to the priuschat address I got my order information from, but have not gotten any response. I did get an email from them yesterday asking me to rate the product, though. Before I give it and the seller a one star rating, I figured I'd try and post here to see if there is some other method I should be using to get this product replaced. Thanks.
I recently purchased a product through the site and have an email for a product rating which I have not yet responded to. Maybe I'll wait to see what happens here.
This may not be helpful. I know you may not want to hear this but be patient. They will rectify the issue. I am not sure when you first reach out but its the weekend now and tomorrow is a holiday for some. Lets not forget the bad weather. Happy Sunday
I sent emails on 2/11 and 2/13. So it's been a week with no reply. I am trying to be patient, but getting a "review our product" email instead of "we'll make this right" email set my teeth on edge a little. Yes, I know the product review email was probably automatically generated, but that does not make it any better.
Did you also contact the shipper? They will need to pay for the replacement since they are apparently the ones who destroyed it. If you didn't do that right away, it may be too late now.
As far as I know, PriusChat is the shipper. I only have communications from shop @ priuschat.com, including the email that says it was shipped and included the tracking number. If I need to contact someone else, it'd sure be nice if the people that took my money would let me know about it.
I meant the company that brought it to your house. Was it FedEX, USPS, UPS, or who? They are the ones who probably broke it.
It was USPS. I guess I will have to try and submit a claim myself. I am certainly not happy about it, though. I would expect any reputable seller to do this for me. The right solution is for the sales people here to a) bother to reply to my emails or thread, b) ship a new one immediately and c) issue a call tag for the damaged product. Like most folks these days, I order a fair number of things online. Most arrive with no issues. But when something does come up, reputable sellers take care of business with good customer service practices. They don't just ignore the customer, like this seller appears to be doing.
It's Danny's business so he runs it the way he wants to run it. I would prefer a faster response (as the OP has suggested) but ultimately I'm not involved with the shop.
I understand. I'm an admin on a large motorcycle forum, but am strictly a volunteer. The site owner is the only one involved in the money side of things. I'm just very disappointed that the seller here has not responded to this in any way, shape or form.
The other suggestion is reach out to the manufacture (BumperX.com) inform them of your order and issue...I wouldn't be surprised items are drop shipped from manufacturer....
Sorry to hear about your experience but I also appreciate your understanding. I hope @Danny gets back to you soon.
Just an update, probably the last one. I filed with the USPS and am working through that process. But I have never had any response here or via email from the seller. Very disappointing. I left a one star review, as they gave me no choice. Caveat emptor. Unfortunately, customer service apparently does not exist when buying products from this website. I will source my parts elsewhere in the future.
