When I close the 2007 Prius trunk the latch mechanism does not engage. The trunk is not securely shut. The open door icon remains lite up on the instrument panel. Are there any suggestions?
With the trunk open and looking closely at the latch, does it look like the latch mechanism is already in the closed position? Try the trunk release again while it's open and then see if it will close and latch.
