It would appear, according to IMDB.com (the World's Largest Internet Movie DataBase), that Mr. Blake (b. 1933) played a recurring character named Mickey Gubitosi from 1939 - 1944. Then in 1944 he started a recurring role as Little Beaver in the series "Red Ryder". So it seems that Robert Blake was not Spanky. According to IMDB, Spanky was played by George 'Spanky' McFarland.
