It amazes me that Jeep has seemingly successfully been able to convince people that the test was faked, although the publication has a stellar reputation and a history of performing this test for nearly 40 years with thousands of vehicles. All the evidence, the videos, and the (by Jeep) misquoted weight point to a design failure, yet they want to blame the test as being too extreme?! It's a low speed evasive manoeuvre which is very relevant when trying to avoid a moose (whose carcass would fatally wound driver and passengers in head-on collisions) . Incredible.
