Hi! I bought my 2007 Prius just two months ago and I have two questions: (1) Is there a way to "hear' the turn signals when used, especially when I fail to cancel them because I don't hear them? Can the "noise" (ticking sound) be increased? ...Or is my hearing so poor that I cannot detect that there is no audible sound anyway? (2) On the main display, just to the left of the outside temperature in the upper right hand corner, occasionally a YELLOW symbol with black letters comes on momentarily! What does that mean? The symbol reminds me of the Native American "thunderbird." Thanks! D. G. Eksten at [email protected]
1) Hmm.. they're already louder than the ones on my dad's Camry lol. I don't know if the ticker can be replaced by a louder one. 2) Err... I'm not sure what you mean. I can't be the snowflake symbol since that takes up the entire width of the screen. Could you describe it in more detail?
does it come on when the temperature is right around 32 degrees? Does it go off after a few seconds? That's the snowflake symbol.
<_< Have a look at your Owner's Manual pp 5, 6, 7, 126 & 134 ← {Correct pages for the 2007 Manual - other years' page numbers may be different but close.} There you'll find illustrations of the symbols which may appear on your panel and MFD. There's much helpful information in the Owner's Manual. I believe the "snowflake on highway" symbol was discontinued with the 2006 Prius.
