Hi all, Saw this code and from the little info I got, the instrument cluster is failing to communicate; that’s all I know. All the basic display on instrument panel looks and works normally, but i’ve never experienced any warning icons, i.e., check engine light etc except the TPMS icon and this is the case as the four sensors have expired and i’ve not replaced them. Shouldn’t i see issues with my instrument display if I have this error code? Thanks!
A U0155 code is like a message in a bottle that says "hey, I can't talk with the combination meter." To complete the picture, you'll want to know who sent that message—which of the other ECUs in the car. The power management control ECU, the body ECU, the certification ECU (smartkey), and the climate control all like to talk with the combination meter, and they all will say "U0155" if they can't. So once you know which one is saying it can't talk with the combination meter, you can have a much better idea where the problem is, and work through the network diagrams and troubleshooting steps under "multiplex communication" and "CAN communication system" in the repair manual. Some scan tools aren't that helpful, and just show you all the codes they heard no matter from where; that makes things harder.
