Auto Express magazine in the UK features the Driver Power survey every year. This year Prius Gen III (as Mk III) was listed for the first time and reached 7th place with an overall score of 88.81%. (The Gen II score 17th place.) Drivers rate their car(s) out of 5 in the following categories: Best for reliability and build quality Best for running costs Best for performance Best for braking Best for ride quality Best for handling Best for practicality Best for comfort Best for ease of driving Best for technology Unlike 'car of the year' awards that might take a whole long weekend to get to know the car, this survey distils months and years of real-world experience with each car, its dealers, insurance and finance; not just power, handling and luggage space. There's a lot of extra detail on the website that is well worth clicking through, even if you've never heard of Å koda. BTW, mileage figures are in mpg(UK).
The thing about these surveys is where do they find the people to ask? I have actively looked out for these surveys to complete and can't find them, or at least not the one you refered to. This link gives the Top 100 cars. http://www.autoexpress.co.uk/carreviews/driver_power/282598/top_100.html I'm surprised Citroen seem to be climbing up the scale. They were ALWAYS bottom in the past.
