    I am no fan of BAS hybrids but have great respect for the potential of ultracapacitors to handle peak power, high amp loads.

    I think one place where ultracapacitor battery packs could be very useful is the type of hybrid used by Mercedes-Benz on the S400 Hybrid. This could allow for less engine operation, improving fuel economy even further.
