We ordered our 05 Hyper-White Prius from Toyota Of The Desert in Cathedral City CA on September 23, 2004, and picked it up on October 7. A few weeks later I got a letter from the dealership. Inside was a refund check in the amount of $8.00. It seems they had inadvertently over charged us for some Department of Motor Vehicles fee. This only added to my existing impression that these were a bunch of honest people.
They do exist. When I bought my '04 at Carson in CA, they held onto the registration until after the VLF offset was reinstated, and then refunded me the difference, which was a good couple hundred bucks.
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(GreenSteve\";p=\"58816)</div> I just received a similar check to the amount of $12 for the same reason. I purchased my Prius on April 17th.
I got my $12 dollah back from Rancho Santa Margarita back in April for my February purchase. Sweet! Talk about refunds month.
LOL, on MY date of delivery, I opened up the hood to take a look inside, and a near-by salesman cracks with hearty red faced laughter, "Hey, whatcha' think, the engin' missin'?" to which I replied, "Well, you guys ARE theives..." arty: It was, of course, all in good fun!
