I've never shied away from stating the irony that I have to drive an imported car to reduce America's dependency on foreign oil.

And of course, I would like proof that all Republicans drive domestic cars exclusively. That only Democrats drive BMWs, Benzes, Lexuses, etc.

The comment section was far more supportive of the move than I would have thought.

Forget the "slap in the face of every American auto worker" b***s***; the workers build what management wants them to build. The problem is the management in Detroit, NOT the American worker, most of whom are doing a fine job building high mileage cars for companies like Toyota, Nissan and Honda. If the Big Three aren't going to deal with global warming, they should at least move over and stop blocking the road for those who are trying.

then I have a few Ferraris & a Lambo in Miami & NY

This should be title UNHAPPY AUTOWORKERS

The Dems have the UAW locked up despite the fact that Billy torpedoed them by siging NAFTA

This is just a silly article because the UAW is not a big fan of the R anyways

I guess the inference that you are making is that toyota etal is doing something to combat global warming? Could you make me a list? And then tell me where the last three products Toyota has introduced fit in, the FJ cruiser, the Tundra, and now the Sequoia?

True, and while I love and will keep my prius, if that "VOLT" concept comes to be, I'm going to try like crazy to get one!

How true. Sucks that the Prius subsidizes those three pigs in Toyota's fleet CAFE numbers.

Why must you constantly hold other companies to standards considerably higher than your ever-loving GM? Is it that you have not looked at GM's current line-up of vehicles or that you have no concept of hypocracy? Either way, allow me to introduce you to the hummer. . .

Please explain how these vehicles fit into General Motor's environmental responsibility pledge. I'll make it easy for you. This is from GM's environmental web page ( http://www.gm.com/corporate/responsibility/environment )
Oh yes indeed. I can tell from their website - and their vehicles - how much they care about this planet we all share.

Tony, it could be that GM's website is one of those things where, if you stare at it just right/long enough, that you will eventually see it?:D
