Dymond Wood was a special laminated wood fully impregnated with phonic resin from dyed Baltic Birch veneers. The unique product was used in pool cues, knife scales for presentation Buck knives and other unique products. Unfortunately the Rutland Plywood Plant in Vermont burned down in 2014. It was never rebuilt and no foreign substitute matches the unique qualities of Dymond Wood. Fortunately, I was able to secure one small piece and made this shift knob for my Prius v. It has the unique feel of the Bakelite shift knobs of the 1930's. .
