i just purchased a 2013 base Prius v in Canada. It is not satellite radio ready ( it doesn't have the appropriate parts. Can i buy a radio satellite box and antennae from a salvage company and have it installed so it will work?
If you have a Sirius/XM-ready head unit, you need the satellite tuner/modem ('box') and harness, and a replacement satellite-inclusive antenna. if you don't have a satellite-ready head unit, the rest of the rig won't allow you to integrate satellite programming
That sort of adapter sends content of any device as a low power FM signal to your FM tuner on an otherwise unused frequency. Not integrated, an add-on.
