hey guys - just had my cat converter stolen couple days ago - broad daylight - South West London residential area. Disgusting. Anyway - I noticed that when i lock the car with the driver side window down, and then open that door from the inside - the alarm doesn't go off like it used too. The thieves of the catalytic converter have done something to the alarm system but just don't know what... how can i re-enable the alarm for my 2007 prius? many thanks
Off topic a little, but I think London folks should replace their OEM catalytic converter with an aftermarket cheapo one. That way the crooks won't butcher your car and take the OEM catalytic converter. Do it ahead of time......
good tip - wish i'd known about this sooner - or wish somebody had advised me on swapping it out my alarm system is the original one i may give Techstream a go - i have an old version which has helped me in the past
