Second half of this game commences with slight underdog ahead 31-16. One could do worse than to watch the rest.
Good game so far. Alabama struggling doesn’t happen much. Najeh Harris is a local kid (Alabama RB), so rooting for them a bit.
Both of these current-year teams are quite above others. It is quite a thing happening. But as always with college sports, most participants will go on to have 'normal' lives and not to otherworld of pro sports. But they will always have this.
About 23 minutes of play time remain and it might turn around. I just have to ask why Raytheeagle (local) did not consider purchase of a cheap seat (<$200 in secondary market) for this playground event.
Because the parking is as much as a ticket . That’s one reason. If it were the Nittany Lions playing, I’d be there. Back in 2009 when the Penguins played the Red Wings in the Stanley Cup Final, flew to Detroit to watch game 1 at the Joe and it was a great time. Just wouldn’t be caught in that part of town after dark and no one else around.
I posted this also in the forum's day-care room, but most adults never go down there..... ....it was ONE Helluva game, and a much needed contrast to the.....ah (*) "pros." Even though most of the peeps in my orbit were rooting for the Elephant, I very much enjoyed the game immensely!!! Sabin (who I think is America's highest paid government employee, and not ((yet)) skipping paychecks!) needed the beat-down to remind folks in Dixie that nothing is "inevitable," 100 seconds in, and the stage was set! Despite the fact that collegiate football's games are getting to be as bloated as the NFL, this one seemed to bounce along rather briskly towards a not-quite-a-surprise ending with relatively few double-looks and clock molasses. Very VERY few pokes and jabs when the refs weren't looking and even the 2 PFs that were called were more technical than testosterone. A well played game......WELL plated! Congrats to "Wherever-the-heck, California" for a great venue!
I did like how they were consistently showing footage of San Francisco when the venue is Santa Clara. Good that they had the banners and signage portraying the “Bay Area” to cover their bottoms.
