    Hi everyone,
I recently bought a used 2010 Prius (115k mi, $7.7k) from a craigslist seller. The CarFax looked good, but I should have had a mechanic check it out. Two days after buying it, "Check Hybrid System," yellow/orange triangle, and check engine warning displays came on. Occasionally the traction control and brake warning lights come on.

The car was in a minor accident two years ago that required replacing the two passenger doors, and the previous owners claimed that both batteries were replaced shortly after. I'm skeptical whether they replaced the hybrid battery or just the 12V. If the hybrid battery was replaced and the car is still having the aforementioned issues, I'm worried that it's a money pit.

The car drives fine, but I want to fix any issues if possible to be able to keep the car. A local Toyota dealership gave me a list of repairs totaling about $6k, including replacing the hybrid battery, brake job, and about eight other things. They cited a P0A80 error code.

I'm posting here and making an appointment at a Prius specialist to get a second opinion.

I'm not very knowledgable about cars, and this is my first Prius.

Any recommendations on how to begin troubleshooting this?

    Sincere thanks
