Noob here. It's a Prius 4. 2017. 37k miles $23k Carfax shows: 1st owner.- "damage reported. damage to rear". 2nd owner returned it within a month. I'm going to take it to a local shop to look at but I'm checking here as well. Dealership offers "Limited Powertrain Warranty" (jpg attached) for free. And if I want warranty for electrical, they suggested I get "CNA National" "Automotive Preferred Care" for $2500. (pdf. attached) I know that Toyota is reliable but I'm still nervous. Especially this is my first "modern" computerized car. Any thought would be appreciated. Thanks!
Did you already buy the car? I deleated a longer post thinking that you were still shopping, but after re-reading it sounds like you already bought the car so I deleated my “pre-purchase” comments, since they would not really apply if you did.
welcome! you could buy a new prime up here for that price. what was the msrp new? i would be very careful about the accident, that can really sink the value. warranties are personal choices. if you want it, read carefully;lly for ambiguous language that leads to claim denial. all the best!
