I spent almost an entire day detailing my new Prius Four using products from Meguiar's. To protect the SofTex seats, I used the Rich Leather Cleaner/Conditioner Wipes.

After performing a web search, it appears the conditioner is safe to use on vinyl. The result following use of the conditioner wipes was fantastic, as the SofTex material now looks and feels more similar to real leather. I am primarily looking for protection of the seats from UV rays and a slight layer of protection from daily use.

If any members have experience using a better product for the SofTex material, please share the product name.

Also, I must share that the overall quality of the Prius is outstanding. I found zero paint or interior defects, and all parts are perfectly aligned. Kudo's to the workers that manufactured and assembled my car.

You don't need to worry too much about UV. The factory glass already has 89% to 100% UV cut rate all around.

You can use Zaino Leather in a bottle on SofTex. Smells great!

I have it as well. It's great on the outside but doesn't smell too good and overkill on the inside as the factory glass already filters out UV.

Yes, for UV protection I agree given the UV filtration of the windows.
Though I feel that it helps wiping the plastic parts I'm treated. Especially the bottom of the door entries where I tend to hit with my feet. It might be psychosomatic but it makes me happy.
