Good evening! I've known Priuschat for some time now and now how important it is. Today is my first post so I hope you can me out! I've looked around online but couldn't find answers to locate the vacuum line for the 2nd gen Prius. Does anyone know where to locate it? Thanks
welcome! idk, but if you don't get an answer here, you can sign in at toyota tech info, and find it in the literature for $15. all the best!
Yes. Any modern car tends to have a lot of different vacuum lines, different diameters, locations. And chances are a generic automotive retailer would be able to sell you something compatible, by the foot.
Lol my bad. Was in a rush last night that I forgot to punch on the details. I'm in the process of doing a proper seafoam treatment and needed to know where the vacuum line for the brake booster is. Pics would be great! If you need more info let me know Posted via the PriusChat mobile app.
Or any "vacuum line that services all of the cylinders". I need to get this seafoam in the engine somehow
Happy Prius driving! The brake booster uses an electric pump for pressure. No vacuum line. (There might be times when the engine isn't running, but you'd like to use the brake anyway.) Maybe you can get your seafoam in using the nipple for the evap system purge line, or the PCV valve. Does your car seem to need a seafoam treatment? -Chap
Thanks @ChapmanF! Yea it has about 225k on it and has rough idle. Posted via the PriusChat mobile app.
