Old thread on this concerned the crash following erroneous tail reconfiguration. Now there is a new bird (unity II) which has climbed to 52 km. 100 km is 'edge of space' and where the passengers will be sent. So, halfway there. They say that the hardest part is the first six inches, and I've always liked VG's approach to using a sort of step stool. I like their timetable of hauling paying customers by the end of 2018. Aggressive but not Teslaesque, especially given the technological setbacks. If I had an extra few megabucks in the bank and enough star-power to cut in line......I'd hitch a ride.
