fixed above. No - the read mentions that Volvo is far out selling any other electric semi though (I meant to say semi, not cyber)

Seems like much more than just outselling by a mile. If 5000 Volvo semis were lined up on a road it would be about 50 miles worth.

Having owned a pickup before, &
needing one again, there are 2 elements in the world of pickup truck towing. There is how much it can pull & break, & there's payload capacity - ie how much junk you can carry (passengers, cargo, gooseneck mounted or slide hitch weight, trailer weight mounted directly over the rear axle, dogs, wife's purse etc. Turns out cybertruck can't adapt to a slide hitch or gooseneck hitch in the bed (from the factory) & no one seems to have done a custom bed mounted hitch.
    Issue too - with 100 MI capability of an all-electric when maxing out payload capacity and trailer weight. Plus longer charge times. In short, almost ready for prime time but not yet. The 3 regular USA puckup companies have hitch mount systems integrated right into the center of the truck bed. Much more convenient. Thusly ;

There goes almost 200 lb of your payload capacity right there.
Yea yea - I know .... OP is about Tesla semi. Imagine that, thread drift. Still - the pickup is not quite ready for prime time, maybe like the semi?

Actually the Dodge Plug-In hybrid pickup makes a lot of sense because it eliminates the transmission. If I had a pickup truck requirement, I would be on any plug-in hybrid that has no transmission. Under light loads, electric efficiency. Under heavy loads, high-torque motors power the wheels.

My experience is reporters try to share notes about what they poorly remember. They went into the journalism because they lack skills in math, physics, and chemistry.

Even the tractor trailer rig's trailers could be used for batteries. BEV rigs deserve kudos. Who ever has driven across central USA multiple times has a good chance of seeing tractor/trailer rigs blown over. It's a horrible sight. That extra weight could have come in handy to prevent such disasters.

Simple, Musk is trashing the Tesla brand the same way Trump is trashing the USA brand.

Trump is a bad President. Musk supports Trump. So...Tesla is bad.

I still like peanuts though.

    • The CEO has been distracted from Tesla since he vanity bought Twitter that he calls X.
    • Optimus robot has no appeal to me as a customer product
    • Cybertruck has no appeal compared to the Dodge plug-in hybrid pickup
    • Model 3 at 25 kWh/100 mi has not changed since 2019
    • Went with Solar Alternatives when Tesla failed to call back for solar power system
    • A small EV without legacy steering controls
    • Full Self Driving scares people to death (including employees at the Nashville Service Center)
Having read his by biography by Isaacson, I think Musk has become another "John Nash" character in the movie "A Beautiful Mind." I've known two people who did the same . . . descended into that dark hole. A year ago, I sold my TSLA stock to buy a solar roof system. In fact, I'm "SHORT" 10 shares of TSLA.

I've not seen evidence that Trump supporters are:
    • Buying lots of Tesla products
    • Buying lots of Tesla stock
Perhaps someone might have evidence of Trump supporters flocking to buy Teslas and TSLA stock?

Sarcasm, but the other reason "some" have turned on Musk is because he shut down "their" biased/censoring Twitter.
