http://www.mercurynews.com/ci_8365544 I saw the above in the San Jose Mercury News the other day. VTA is the Valley Transportation Authority here in the South Bay area of Nor Cal. The print version did have a table breaking down the costs for diesel vs. hydrogen buses by fuel, cost of vehicle, repairs IIRC, etc. If someone has the print version still, it be cool to put up the figures. IIRC, even if the hydrogen bus cost $0 (which it does NOT), the cost of fuel was WAY higher for the hydrogen bus.
From the above link: Of course, with mass-production, replacement parts would be available, but the fact that they break down more often is serious. And since the H2 is probably coming from natural gas (most does) there is no reduction in fossil-fuel use.
