Loved the way my old '99 New Bettle handled, but reliability sucked a big one. Like the concept of better mpg's from desiel - but as of today $3.35 for gas vs $4.00 for desiel I see no benefit for a driver that likes a more casual approach to driving. I don't see a lot of negative press on the TDi vs the Prius... But... Cost per a mile tells the tale...
