VW showed off the ID.7 sedan with 210 kW (282 hp) and 435 miles (700 km) of range (WLTP). Charging speed will be up to 200 kW and has a drag coefficient of 0.23. https://www.volkswagen-newsroom.com/en/press-releases/world-premiere-for-the-efficiency-champion-volkswagen-id7-with-a-range-of-up-to-700-km-wltp-15735 Will make it to North America by 2024. Cockpit is dominated by a huge 15" multimedia screen.
A normal, stylish (slightly boring?), spacious sedan (and soon to be wagon too!) Aside from the silly cost cutting measure on the driver’s door (missing power window switches), the rest looks impressive.
VW didn't put out a lot of information, but here are some stats from other articles: length: 195.3 in (4961 mm) width: 73.3 in (1862 mm) height: 60.6 in (1539 mm) wheelbase: 116.8 in (2967 mm) So about the same size as the Model S but VW is positioning for price at the Model 3, about mid $50K starting. Slightly smaller than the Toyota Crown but the ID.7 is a lift back. Uses a two-stage one-speed gear box to rear wheel drive (at first but AWD maybe later) powertrain. Base model gets an 82 kWh battery (77 kWh net) battery which gives it 382 miles (614 km) range but to get the 700 km you'll need to upgrade to the 91 kWh (86 kWh net) battery. These range estimates are WLTP so EPA is probably closer to 325 miles (523 km) for the small battery and 370 miles (596 km) for the larger one. No estimate yet of 0 - 60 mph or 0 to 100 km/h. Yes. This is based on preliminary specs released at the 2019 LA Auto Show on the ID Space Vizzion concept (basically the wagon version of the ID.7)
