I've had my car for a couple of months, and noticed last night a warning light flashing in the car in the driveway in the dark. I got in the car and tried to identify the icon but couldn't- bad eyes, apparently, and it flashes too quickly for me to make it out. It immediately stopped when I turned the car on. Any idea? I could find nothing in the manual.
It is the security indicator light that flashes continuously when the car has been turned off. (I think page 184 of the owners manual)
Yes.......it's the security icon....I think it's a lock & key icon. Perhaps the manual has a picture of it, don't remember.
It's completely normal as others have stated. It's the Prius letting others know we have an immobilizer and it's not even worth trying to steal. Wont happen! I like the fact that a light does flash in there though.
