    there....

I have a 2001 Prius, and within the last two weeks, all three warning lights came on a total of two times:

    PSB
the car with the red exclamation point
    The Red Triangle of Doom

Took it immediately to Toyota dealer, and the warning lights shut off when they turned it on. Figures.

They kept it for another day, drove it around, did some diagnostic testing, and even hooked up their computer with my Prius' computer, and there were NO TROUBLE CODES stored at all whatsoever. ????????????????? Hel-lo??

Any clues for me?? I have been sifting through all the posts and I can't find but a few that sound like my problem. The only thing may be the gas cap, from what I gather.

    Thanks. :)

If they started it up a number of times and drove it around before actually going in and pulling the codes with the Tester, then they messed up any possibility of getting codes from the system. On an intermittant issue were lights come on, codes are posted to the system, however those codes will clear out after a number of successful starts with no issue.

If you get the codes again, make sure they put it on the tester first instead of driving it around.

An errant thought, but had you recently filled up and not necessarily got the fuel cap fully tightened. That will post an error quite easily.

the loose gas cap will only put the check engine light on, not the the full monty. This sounds like more of a computer problem, and there were some reports of the Classic doing this and it required a new computer. The Classic computers are not re-flashable like the new Prius. I'd take it to the dealer and I wouldn't shut it off if the lights are on. Carry your spare key and park it and use the key to lock the doors, go in and tell them what has happened and you need it scanned now, while the lights are on. The codes will not be erased if you don't turn it off. Best I can offer.
