Warning msg in japanese

    does anyone know what this says? It’s accompanied by a red triangle with exclamation point pint inside. The char has 54,000 km is 2005

    It says,

    When the car is parked, shift to the P position.
    The generator does not operate in N.
    P, D, B will operate the generator.
    ​
    I have never driven Gen2, so I don't know when and why the warning came up, but it sounds like a general warning message when you stop the car?

    I get that if i’m in neutral too long at a carwash or if the driver door is cracked open i get the same warning. mines 2006

    it usually means the car is in neutral, and the hybrid battery is discharging due to drains from hvac.

    happens a lot in car washes. you need to have the trouble codes read

    Sound like @bisco nailed it. I have never seen a warning like that on either Gen3 or on PP. But I don't keep the car in N too long.
