This is a follow up on a post by DPOWER made on 12/28/09 saying he had a problem with his dash "warping" on the passenger side of his Prius. I discovered this last Tuesday & found the same "warp" in exactly the same place as all the other posts on this subject. I took it to my dealer & to their body shop & was told it was caused by heat. The body shop sent three different supervisors to see the problem, took pictures & promised to contact the factor rep coming to Greensboro in two weeks. The post by DPOWER said it was not a heat problem, but a spring located, I believe, near or on the glove box. Did any of the members of the forum having this issue find that Toyota or purchased extended warranty paid for the repair? Unfortunely, I do not have the skill or expertiese to do it my self. Just recieved a phone call from the body shop manager & he asked to give him copies of the printed posts I made on this subject (I had left a VM with his assistant about this & he gave it to the manager) & will present them to the factory rep. This site is a powerful tool when it comes to questions about our Prius & the help it can be, even after several years. PS: In my many years dealing with all makes of car dealships, I must say Rice Toyota of Greensboro has been outstanding.
