Just an observation... If you borrow a can of gas, make sure it is the right one before dumping it in your car or it may end up costing quite a bit. Has anyone else ever made this mistake, or am I the only one dumb enough to admit to it?

They towed it 100km and then phoned me with the problem I could only cringe! Mark
Do the nozzles have different diameters Down Under? You're not the only one (but I'm glad I never did that). Did you pick up a water can by mistake? Or did some doofus put water into the gasoline can (in which case you should whup them upside the head)?
so how did this turn out, benighted? DH has spent quite a few of his days tearing apart fuel systems because of non-fuel stuff making it into the gas tank. i always know it the second he walks in the door at night... my point is you're not alone.

Yes water is everywhere here. I got it back on Monday, the bill ended up being $549.09. I'm going to be very careful what I put in there from now on!
