Hi all, Does anyone have information on how to replace the water pump on a 2017 Prius Prime? Thanks! -ZZ
For anything gen 4 you probably want to read through the whole thread that comes up with this search: site:priuschat.com "oh hell yes can they be serious" - Google Search I suppose now the next time Google crawls, there will be two threads. Oh well....
Info attached. Note, it's a cobbled "edition", sorted alphabetically, so "install" proceeds "removal".
I will here offer just a mild gentle hint that if you just look at the PDF file Mendel attached, and you don't read through the thread linked to in post #2, you may end up wishing you had read the linked thread. At the risk of over-hinting, the step numbered "1." on page 18 of that PDF is where you might end up wishing that.
Toyota recapitulates, in @ChapmanF's link. 2016 Prius ICE Water Pump Replacement | PriusChat I believe they just loosen/remove the engine mount at the "front" of engine mount (at right side of engine, the end with the belt-less pulley).
