There are a lot of technical details about EV charging that are too often behind paywalls. You have to 'buy' the spec or standard. But Weber University has online courses about EVs and this lecture covers the technical details: It is 3 years old and only briefly mentions the Tesla plug. Weber is in the business of training EV and automotive technicians. So they take things apart with the intention of learning how to put them back together. It is great resource for self-maintenance. For example, here is how to access the maintenance manuals and use the Tesla diagnostics: Munro is interested in manufacturing and costing so they take things apart with no interest in putting them back together.
