My radio is always on so although I just noticed this it may have been going on for a while. I can't change the stations or turn off the radio or change modes with either the touch screen or the steering wheel buttons unless I change the volume first. Once I do that I can turn it off or change stations with the steering wheel but not the touch screen. Any ideas? Lee
When the screen is on NAV or using the screen for SETUP, do you have any problem with the screen reacting appropriately when given touch input? Do all areas of the screen react appropriately? Also, did you happen to press sorta hard to clean some gunk off the screen a while back. Don't ask me how I know, but you can really mess up a screen that way.
I don't have nav. I didn't try setup, just a minute. I will go check. Well, you inadvertently solved my problem. I was trying everything and I hit the wrong button and called a friend and woke him up. So that part worked. He was nice about it. I was not able to hang up on him. I tried to hang up before his phone rang. I had to power down. In the process I bumped something in the dark. I have always had a magnet clip to hold a piece of paper right above the radio. It has never been a problem. Some how it slipped down a bit and that is what caused my problem. If the magnet gets too close to or on top of the screen it disables some things. Lee
