Her 'Sound of Music' at the Oscars was a great performance. But I kept wondering if she was thinking,'This is for you, the big monsters!' I have and continue to enjoy her tunes and eclectic performance art. Sad to say, amplified music can compete with and diminish the voice. But Sunday evening, she hit one out the ball park. Superbowl 2016 could use her voice. No, I'm not a Sound of Music fan but rather Lady GaGa could handle the Queen of the Night in the Magic Flute and add value. Hummm, the Magic Flute done in "Little Shop of Horrors" and "Rocky Horror" style . . . now that could be fun. Bob Wilson
The OP should of mentioned, in the thread title or in the post, that they are referencing her performance at the academy awards last night for the tribute to Julie Andrews.
I don't know..... Normally I subtract IQ points from my estimation of a person's intellectual grunt when they say something like "Well done, Lady GaGa" but she is a talented and VERY successful performer! Me? I fix phones for a living, so who am I to judge.... Since I'd rather have a root canal performed sans anesthesia than suffer through the Oscars, I didn't see the performance....however (comma!) I did hear that she performed stupendously. When I woke up this morning, the lead 6 or 7 news stories were related to the Oscars. Several of these entwined themselves with the usual Monday morning political talk show hangover crap----so I did hear about Ms. GaGa...as well as Travolta=Biden....Women's wages.....and Selma. Thus? No explanation necessary. Well Done, Ms. Germanotta!!!
Don't normally listen to her, but yeah she was great. The tattoos were a little distracting, but what can you do.
True that! But 'she who must be obeyed' came in and changed the channel at a purely accidental moment. Best 'DaDa' art moment, "Thank Larry my dog." Bob Wilson
Not "her indoors"? the "trouble and strife (wife)"? Good Lord, you don't let her near the remote do you?
Just another Male who is familiar with The Magic Flute, The Little Shop of Horrors and The Rocky Horror Picture show...and Drives a Prius. Now if you'll excuse me, I think I'm going to youtube and enter "Arnold Schwarzenegger Crushes Things with His Tank" into the search box. So Long, Farewell Auf Wiedersehen...Good Night...
