My trade warranty was out on the 29th. I would have to buy one for $1600 and I would not drive a Volkswagon without one. Based on all the crap that went wrong with the 2003 Beetle Convertible, I was scared to keep it for a few more years and wondered if it would have any value at all. My trade offers were all over the place from $10,000 to $13,500. The car needed 4 tires and it had a cracked windshield, but low milage, It was in fair condition. Been car shopping for 2 weeks. Did not like what I could afford, and couldn't afford what I liked. Finally got a Black 2007 Package 3, Grey Interior. Car came with all mats. $23,000 $13,000 for my trade (they say $13500) and the $500 washed a Dealer Prep fee I refused to pay. $599 Georgia Insane Doc fee that they refused to wash 7% sales tax $38 tag, title, and misc fees Finance gave me a good rate because I have good credit and did not try to add on a damn thing. I had warned my salesman. Toyoto has nothing for the Georgia area in terms of breaks or financing. I really liked my Salesman. He is professional and knows the Prius well, as most other salesman did not. There is a tiny scratch on my radio black plastic and he is so bothered, that they are checking into replacing the face plate, if possible. I am trying to work that into a discount on leather. Even though I have a larger car note , I should wash that with the savings in gas, if I learn to drive the car correctly!
