Very slight scrape with small dent near the rear wheel well. Cost was $1500 to fix, but she just paid $500 deductible.
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(ryan lin @ Nov 26 2006, 01:53 PM) </div> Similar damage that also included a scratched alloy wheel and scuffed rear bumper cost approximately $2,500 to repair about 20 months ago. Most of the rear of the car has to be painted in order to blend the old and the new paint. If this was a hit and run, most insurance companies will waive your deductible.
I have a mysterious dent in exactly the same place, driver's side. I think it either happened on a trip to Las Vegas, in one of the casino parking structures, or from some flying debris on the freeway. I just noticed it under the proper light angle. Upon closer inspection, there is a very small paint chip, and a vertical line in the paint about 2" long. I hit it with some touch-up paint, and you really have to look close to see it. I'll probably wait for some more dramatic damage to have it repaired some day. Good luck.
