Well she was new. today made 8 months since we bought her and now look at her. Not sure what the extent to the damage is, but sure soon to find out. I know that she handles great. When the truck hit her through her into a spin and my wife was able to counter steer and keeping from going into the ditch causing more damage. Just wandering about the batteries since they are located in that area. Also seemed that it has at lease thrown out the alignment.
It can be a real downer when you have a new car you are enjoying and something like this happens. (of course, glad everyone is alright). For 6 years I drove a 1993 Accord without incident. Previously several cars and trucks without an accident. This year? I finally get a new Honda Fit, about 2 months of ownership I get rear ended at a stop light.....it's a bummer. Well your next move as far as Automobile goes, is to find a bodyshop inwhich you are confident. Your concerns about damage, alignment, frame, potential hybrid battery or component damage are all well founded. You need all these things checked out and adressed. The good news, is they all can be checked out and fixed if needed. Good Luck. On the positive side, as depressing as looking at dents and damage can be, a good bodyshop and repair facility can and will make it look brand new again. Unfortunately, just judging from pictures I don't think anyone can really tell you the total potential extent of damage. Looks like a major impact, so all the things you mentioned and more could be on the table as issues that need to be adressed. But a honest, decent bodyshop, adjuster and hybrid mechanic is probably what you need.
My other 2010 Prius had almost identical damage to what's shown in your pics - although in our case the back tire actually popped too. Ended up with $4500 in damage, but insurance took care of all but the deductible.
