I bought rear brake pads at Advanced Auto Parts for my 2010 Prius IV and was asked, "Stretched or no-stretched?" I bought both and plan to take the non-fit brake pads back. But, I cannot see any difference in the pads? First time I have ever heard the term and I can find nothing about it from searching. What are "stretched" brake pads?
No clue. I doubt Toyota parts department would know either. Considering how rarely pads get replaced, I’d stick with Toyota OEM.
Perhaps is has something to do with burnished vs non burnished pad surface. Also, it’s probably a way of charging more money for the latter. If you ask me, I think it’s a crock.
Pads for the rear of these cars come in two sizes. Could be what he's referring to. Otherwise, never heard of it. Pixel 4a ?
