I read a lot of people just take off the hub cap and let the black metal wheel revealed. I did the same thing and it looks really nice. (2015 White Prius Two) As I was lookin for a window tint provider, my friend at a shop told me I should leave the hub cap on otherwise the metal wheels will get rust. What do you do to prevent the rust?
anti rust spray or any type of rust enamel. But I think they are aluminum and painted. Got my Prius in Dec, but the consistent snow and over-salting prevents me from wanting to take the hubcap off until Spring. Cant even start modding or get a car wash due to below freezing temps
I wonder if "my friend at a shop" was referring to the actual hub, and using centre caps? The rusty bit in this pic:
