Now that I know how to go into the diagnostic mode on the MFD what do these codes mean? On the EMV screen: 01-D5-190-3E-F 01-DC-190-25-4 01-DC-1CG-BE-F Thanks
looks a bit like raw CAN data address's but don't hold my feet to the fire for saying that. I'll listen to any other suggestions.
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(marjam @ Jul 23 2006, 10:26 AM) </div> Hi (with all due respect to Frank's hot feet) my 2 cents worth courtesy of the Toyota shop manual example: 01-D5-190-3E-F splits down into 01-D5 is the DTC (trouble code) which means the following device was not found for registration with the AVC head unit during power-on -190- is the device it couldn't register, in this case the audio head unit -3E-F is a sub-code for which you'd need a Toyota tech manual Simlarly, The 01-DC-190 etc means the audio head unit had a communication failure while trying to talk to the unit displayed on the next line The 01-DC-1C6 is the unit it couldn't talk to, in this case the gateway ECU (I'm pretty sure its 1C6 not 1CG) All just different versions of the same initial error. The MFD (which incorporates the controller for all the AVC) keeps track of any errors, even if just momentary and even if they some time ago. If you are not experiencing any problems with your radio/CD/amp then I would just reset the codes and wait to see if they ever re-occur. I wouldn't bother the dealer unless you ARE also having audio problems.
