Should my Entune account on my PiP Basic include Bing, Traffic, and gas station prices? The dealer I bought the car from says those are only offered on the advanced model, but as I follow the threads on Prius Chat, it seems that others have these capabilities. I called Toyota Safety Connect, and was told that I should have a complimentary 3/36 subscription, but that the dealer hasn't yet reported the car as being sold.
Yes it should have those apps. The advanced uses XM fuel and XM traffic, while the basic uses your cell phones connectivity to get that info, but you should have the basic's version on there. Thats probably what the salesperson was thinking of. Did you just purchase the car? Congrats! Hopefully the dealer will set up for 3/36 soon and that will fix it.
The dealer should have showed you how to download the Entune's app to your phone and set up your Entune's account, mine did
The dealer helped me set up the app, and I can get all the info on my iPhone, but not on the Priius's screen.
I have an Android but had to "initialize" Entune's on the PIP via USB first. After I did this, the nest time I was using Entune's in the PIP it worked fine.
