I'm thinking about buying a 2010 Prius but it will depend on the gas mileage. My current car (2005 HCH 5-spd) averages around 48-50mpg during the summer and around 42-46mpg during the winter months (snow tires, cold temps, etc.). I commute 130 miles round trip every day. I test drove the new Honda Insight but it was lacking in the MPG department. The best I could do was around 39.6MPG (20-30 miles of 30% city - 70% highway driving on two test drives). My daily drive consists of about 30 miles of 30-40mph, 20 miles of 55-60mph, 80 miles of 70mph speed limits. I was curious what new users are seeing in their 2010 cars? I would prefer non-hypermiling numbers since I don't drive that way.
