Hi guys. Its being long I posted here. I live a place, or a continent, specifically, Nigeria, where you have the temperatures sometimes running into ~40°C, and hybrid Toyota vehicles seems to be the prevalent here. I do know ambient temperatures, has a drastic impact on HV battery life. Almost all the Toyota hybrid vehicles in my country, are imported, used from North America, specifically, USA. Some were totaled, while some weren't. In my shop, I have worked on lots of such vehicles, with failed packs, and ABS pump related problems. I also realised that apart from ambient temperatures, driving conditions, terrains, mileages on the vehicles, and perhaps warranties from Toyota or its dealerships, easily comes into play too. ¶¶¶¶¶¶¶¶ If you own a Prius, with NIHM chemistry, and reside in an area like Arizona, or any other parts of the world with high temperatures similar to Nigeria, 1. How has your HV battery pack performed? 2. Is your vehicle still carrying the stock HV battery? 3. Please state if you bought the car new, or used. 4. At what mileage did it failed? 5. Did you replaced the pack with a new one from Toyota, or a remanufactured one from some place like doman , reinvolt, etc? 6. What MPG are you averaging, and if any previous jobs has being done on the pack, what's the MPG presently? Thanks guys Dxta
