What if the copious amounts of data collected from FSD Teslas was packaged and sold on the public market to all developers for autonomous driving vehicles. Trucks, buses, yes robotaxis....public transportation. The DB that Tesla owns could become THE OS for all autonomous transportation. How important is the OS for compute based systems? Ask Bill Gates and Steve Jobs.
Tesla has posited that they will license FSD at some point in the future. While this isn’t selling the data, it is closer to the analogy of selling/licensing the OS.
I just wish Tesla would make their own maps and update the few changes via over the air updates. Today it is 'replace all' instead of the more efficient, update what changed. Bob Wilson
