What is - - - on the display

    OK so I've been meaning to ask, on my MPG display if I push the steering wheel button once, I see actual MPG and the numbers jump all over the place depending on how I am driving. Push the button a 2nd time I see avg mpg, push it a third time and I see range how many more miles I can go.

    If I push the button a 4th time I see - - -? What is this? I assume since mine is a 2012 base model its something I don't have.

    Please elaborate ?
    I can reset the trips by holding the trip button down and the average and instant mpgs reset themselves on each startup what is it that --- resets and how do you reset it ?

    I was puzzled by that to. It looks like the reset is only available when in park. When you are driving it changes to "---". Does that sound right? Yes, reading the manual would be a last resort ;)

    yes, its locked out while in gear.

    Aha, so "SET" for setting up the MFD is replaced by "---" when in drive, got it.(y)
