I saw online, a dealership has a bunch of 2010 "Vehicle Trim: 5dr HB I (Natl) *Late Availability*" listed for $21,750. I haven't seen these cars listed on a Toyota site. Anyone familiar with this particular model?
This has already been documented on this site by the Prius Team. The Prius I model is going to be a fleet only model that is stripped down. I don't think it will be sold to the general public.
Yeah those are not Prius I. The Prius I will only be for fleet sales and those vehicles show touch tracer as an option which the I will not have (amongst many other things, but that was the first thing that caught my eye that these are not Prius I)
I will not trust this dealer, none of the 30+ Prius listed has a VIN number. This looks like one of those we have your cars , just common in and deal trick.
Thanks for the heads up. I have dealt with Balise in the past. I walked out after the dealer started playing games with prices.
According to the website it is a model 1221 Prius which makes it a Prius I. Prius I is a stripped down Prius II. Prius Is are designed for commercial fleet sales and not for consumer sales. http://www.balisetoyotaofwarwick.co...&myear=2010&mfg=1221&ext=1F7&extcolor=Classic Silver Metallic&style=320157 If you notice under the heading, "About this Toyota". It states it is model 1221.
It's a Prius II in my opinion and they are undercutting the advertised price only to screw people once they come in to purchase. If they are willing to play such a petty game as this, I wouldn't even give them the time of day visiting their dealership.
Just a game to draw attention, and obviously it did! Don't believe it....but you could always go to see if they do have them! Bob
My salesman told me that every car in his dealership's inventory displays in the web inventory list, regardless of what its status is. He can tell which cars are for sale and which are on hold for people on waiting lists, but this info isn't on the web site for you or I to see. I'm guessing that the dealer site you are looking at works similarly, and those ARE Prius I's, but aren't available for public sale.
They list options for those vehicles which we know the Prius I does not have, so why would they be Prius I's? That is as long as the options they list for said vehicles is even accurate on their site.
It is a mistake. Those are not individual vehicles but placeholders for vehicles that may show up (but as said above won't be for public sale).
Not quite correct. Fleet units, i.e. Prius Is do not appear on the dealer's website inventory list. They do appear on the dealer's inventory list but not a list visible to the public. To the best of my knowledge Model 1221 Prius I models will not be avaliable until early next year.
It's not their inventory. Notice how they've listed a car in every color for every trim level -and none of them show options such as nav or solar.
Very good pick up. I didn't realize that. When I look at it now, I notice how every model (I, II, III, IV, V) has the same price and description.
