    It might be "electrical key oscillator", for touch unlocking of the hatch, not sure:

    Trunk opens fine and no codes on techstream. The guy who changed out my battery forgot to put this on. Wth

    I figured it out. It's the part that allows the car to automatically lock when the key is no longer in it because it detects the key presence inside the car. Thanks mendel
