I've tried to search but couldnt find the information. I have a 2015 c two. I'd like to know the wire location so when i open the doors, the door sill illuminates.
the easiest way would probably be to use "add a fuses" and tap into the little fuse box above the driver's foot, no factory wire cutting/stripping needed that little fuse box is pretty much self explanatory on what the slots are for, and has everything from wipers to fogs to sunroof...and especially doors it's also very easy to just hide wiring under the carpeting from the fuse box to your destination
I found the wires already. I changed my mind on the door sills but instead i added led lights to the foot area, now when i open the doors the foot area lights up.
any pictures of the wires/location??? after reading the manual some more, it seems there is no dome light fuse inside (it's in the engine bay...and it is also shared with the ecu and some other stuff)
The way i did it was to tap into the dome light circuit. I removed the drivers a pillar, right behind it there is a connector. I tapped into pins 2 and 17 on the side towards the dome light. i believe the wire color was blue and black. I used a test light first to verify the correct wires. It seems to me that the circuit is grounded through the body control unit, but since im just installing led's i dont think they would cause any problems.
hmmm...thank you, but I guess I'm going with king's led adapter splice instead of tapping into factory wiring
