I have a 2004 Prius. What is my package? I have, gps, jbl, I was told I have VSC (but how can I tell?) Thanks, Dave
Hi Dave, If you have nav then you have pkg. 8 or 9. If you have HID headlights and fog lights then you have pkg. 9. See: http://www.intellichoice.com/reports/vehicleReport/vehicle_nmb/12073/section/packages When you make your car IG-ON (where all the warning lights appear on the dashboard) you may see an VSC amber warning light. If so, that is one bit of evidence that system is in place.

According to the Intellichoice link, VSC was in pkgs 7 and 9. My 2004 has all option pkg 9 equipment except nav, since nav is not included in Toyota or Lexus sold in Hawaii (don't understand why this is the case.)
Yes, each year the option packages change. It's not easy to keep track. 2006 Toyota Prius - Optional Packages
2010 is really different according to the chap on our test drive at LA show. He said the pkgs are not "set in stone" as yet. It was hard to follow and drive but I thought he said no SKS until the "higher" pkg#. Also stand alone option of Nav which I think is good as we do not want that feature. It will be interesting to see final price/pkgs. Carl
Hi Carl, See the following string to find the defined 2010 option packages as of Feb. 10. This was provided by TMS USA so it should be correct. http://priuschat.com/forums/2010-toyota-prius/58321-2010-prius-models-option-packages.html
ya, the 2010 packages are a MAJOR change. several new features, major overhaul of the interior controls and options
Yeah, I guess it depends on the year of the car. Mine is a brand new (2009) and I have package "6" with Nav, HID, leather, voice actuation etc., which is Package "9" according to the Intellichoice listing.
